H2S Data Sheet

Hydrogen sulfides are eventually toxic pollutants in industrial and urban areas mainly emitted by geothermal or biogenic sources. The gas is colorless and characterized by a foul odour. Large H2S concentrations are found close by petroleum refineries, coke ovens, paper mills, tanneries or sewerages.

H2S sampling

The passive sampler to measure H2S is based on the principle of the diffusion of H2S molecules onto the cadmium sulphate absorbent. The attached glass fibre membrane supported by a wire net is eliminating weathering effects. The sampler is placed in a specially designed shelter to protect it from weather conditions during its exposure.
